The Gudhjem smokehouse is the most authentic place to come taste the Bornholm specialty "sol over Gudhjem". It consists of our smoked herring on rye bread with egg yolk, chives and radishes. This is just one of many exciting options for a traditional lunch at the Gudhjem harbour overlooking the coastline. Gudhjem Smokehouse works as a restaurant and a shop. All the delicious products we have on the menu can also be bought to take home along with other Bornholm specialties. We provide freshly smoked herring every day throughout the season. The Gudhjem Smokehouse (Ejnar Mikkelsensvej 9, 3760) is centrally located just beside the Gudhjem Harbour with a beautiful ocean view. Unfortunately we do not accept tablereservations.

Unfortunately we do not accept tablereservations. But with more than 150 seats inside and 200 seats outside you are almost always able to find a spot.
If you arrive to Gudhjem durring July and August please use the parkinglots at the entranct of the town. Then you will have a wunderfull stroll for 10 minutes before you get to the habour and the Smokehouse. Parking at the habour cost 30 dkr. an hour.
